Jakub Józef Orliński has the bearing and uninhibited agility of a breakdancer combined with a powerful and extraordinarily-kind voice. Making his return to the Festival d’Aix, where he was first introduced to international audiences, this star countertenor gets back to the basics with a criss-cross of baroque operatic arias by Purcell and Handel, and Polish melodies by Baird et Łukaszewski.
